El Camino Health's Mountain View and Los Gatos hospitals both earned an 'A' in the fall 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade program, a national recognition of the health system's commitment to providing safe, high-quality care to patients, and making it one of the only health systems in the South Bay to have two hospitals that received the top grade. Leapfrog measures publicly available safety data to grade more than 2,600 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year with A, B, C, D or F ratings based on their performance to prevent errors, injuries, accidents and infections.

The Mountain View location's Level III NICU family-centered care team earned the 2021 David Wirtschafter Award from Stanford's California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative—for partnering with families to offer a parent-buddy program, discharge teaching tools, parent comfort team and other family-centered services.

Our Los Gatos campus is designated by Baby-Friendly USA as a Baby-Friendly Hospital.

In January 2021 El Camino Health received Magnet® Designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for the fourth consecutive time for nursing excellence and quality patient care. El Camino Health was designated as a Magnet organization in 2005, 2010, and 2015. Only eight percent of hospitals in the country have Magnet designation, and less than one percent are four-time designees.
